Houston Custom Home A/V Installers BBB Business Review

I am ecstatic with the home theater system the crew from houston custom installers installed for me the guys were extremely professional and competent. Chris was flexible with my schedule, and their work was meticulous. I highly recommend HCI, and will definitely use him again for any future AV needs I may have.

Great service. Kevin was able to come out to install my tv within the hour – on a Sunday. Had everything with him. Much cheaper and much more professional than Geek Squad/Best Buy (who never responded to me after several calls). The whole thing was done very quickly and very cleanly. He also helped hook up all the cable box, Wii, and even setup my TV for me — naming all the inputs so I know which is which. He also recommended that I call my cable company to get a different cable box for better signal quality – which I did. Very happy with service and highly recommend him to anyone.

10 out of 10

Houston Custom Installers came at the scheduled time, made some recommendations and additions, which we accepted. They were very professional and courteous, completed the job in a timely manner. We are very happy with our home entertainment system and will definitely recommend Houston Custom Installers and call them for any future projects.

Home Electronic suppliers and installers should make everything easier,Houston Custom Installers absolutely does. As an Interior Designer working on high-end renovations all over Houston it has become clear not everyone in this field can seamless integrate electronic “house systems”. These guys install the equipment, program it perfectly and then very clearly explain to clients how to make all the goodies work. HCI has repeatedly come through for us; they make things happen quickly and when they are done It all just works. Best of all there is never any drama. An enthusiastic “Two thums up”!

Great Company

We have worked with Chris and Houston Customer Installers on many projects for our high end residential interiors and rave about them to everyone we know. They are extremely easy to work with and always willing to go a step further to make the client happy. Their work is seamless and top quality. They are extremely knowledgeable about the latest gadgets and newest technology. A true pleasure to work with.

Get your money’s worth out of your home theater installation by making it serve double duty.  Those who are self-employed or who wish to do some modicum of work from home can use their home theater installation as a video conferencing tool as well.  Contact a home theater installation expert like those at Houston custom installers, and they will be able to make recommendations to ensure that your entertainment needs, as well as your professional needs are being met. Be sure to discuss budget issues upfront so there are no surprises at the end.

A professional TV installation can connect your television and computer so that you can control your visual, audio, and even lighting from your computer keyboard.  Watch a good movie on your high definition projection screen, with state of the art surround sound, and the next day, use the same home theater installation to conduct an international meeting or to close a sale.

The key is to choose comfortable furnishings that can feel homey while giving a professional appearance to those who may get a peek into your home via video conferencing.  Dark leather chairs or couches and book shelves or framed art on the walls can offer this dual role.  Ask your home theater installation consultant how to place your speakers strategically while hiding the necessary wires and cords.  Experts like the Houston Custom Installers will be able to create a system that will work for both of your needs. Remember, however, to put away the cozy blankets from last night’s movie before making today’s business calls.

A modern home theater installation does not necessarily have to mean a modern home décor.  In the case of one family, a rustic style entertainment center was built that covered the entire wall with a variety of shelves and a custom space for their TV installation.  Shelves hold books, statues, and artwork, and the rows of theater seats are replaced by a big comfortable couch in classic shades of beige and brown.  The plush carpet acts as a sound absorbing material, which is necessary to make the most of your home theater installation.

While the look is traditional, the home theater installation is anything but old fashioned.  The TV installation experts placed the surround sound speakers strategically around the room, disguising and camouflaging them so that they do not detract from the overall décor of the room. Additionally, the home theater installation included electronic control of the lights and window treatments in the room.

The end result is a comfortable room where anyone would be able to relax by putting their feet up, or where it is easy and wonderful to cuddle on the couch, but where, thanks to a complex home theater installation, you can be surrounded by the sounds of your favorite movie at any time.  When the mood strikes, you can turn down the lights, close the drapes, adjust the bass in your sound system, and start your movies without ever leaving your seat.  This is the kind of home theater installation that makes watching a good movie truly enjoyable.

While it is possible to complete a successful home theater installation using the space and furnishings you have at hand, it is possible to create exactly what you want if you are willing to pay for it.  In the case of one family, this meant moving heating ducts and rerouting some electrical work.  Luckily, this individual had the skills to complete this work himself.  For others, contractors would be required, with the consulting assistance of a home theater installation expert.  Pure attention to detail resulted in a cinema style TV installation in the style of the 1930s and 1940s.  A projector, mounted on the ceiling, displays movies on a large screen, which is framed in a dark red velvet curtain.  A step in the middle of the room allows for tiered rows of seating and a rich black and red carpet is added to the floor.

The look is ideal, and the home theater installation makes excellent use of technology to optimize viewing pleasure as well.  Surround sound speakers are strategically placed to offer a true cinematic experience.  Speaker wire is carefully tucked away inside the ceiling and behind pictures so the final result of this home theater installation is clean and clear.

This family included in their TV installation an authentic looking lobby outside their theater as well.  Here they set up a curio cabinet that contains movie memorabilia and more hangs on the walls. The home theater installation has been completed in such a way that the controls for the speakers, television, lights, and curtains are all controlled on the same panel.

Create a spooky haven for the men of the house, ranging in ages from zero to 99.  The growing popularity of the “man cave” has sparked new trends in home theater installation.  Clutter up the room with horror movie props, posters, and memorabilia, and in the heart of it all is your TV installation. A 62-inch plasma screen television hangs on the wall above a console made up of speakers. Additional speakers are placed strategically around the room. A home theater installation consultant can help you pinpoint the best spots to place speakers, and will be able to hide necessary wires and cords inside walls, against base boards, and in the ceiling.  Home theater installation experts are great at this, and you will be thrilled with the results.

An added advantage to filling the room with props and other objects is that they will aid in the absorption of excess sound, making the most of your home theater installation.  You may find, however, that this is not enough and you are still getting echoes and reverberations.  If this is the case, you can add noise absorbing panels; professionals like those at Houston Custom Installers can help you choose the right products for your home.

Be sure to ask your home theater installation consultant for assistance so that you can control your television, audio, and lights with the same control panel.  This way, when the movie starts, the lights can go down, and you never have to get out of your comfortable chair!

There are several key components to a successful home theater installation project.  Of course, these include the television, the speakers, the controls, and perhaps lights and window treatments.  However, another very important part of the TV installation process is the sound absorbent panels that must be included in order to maximize the sound for your optimal enjoyment. It makes no sense to go to the trouble and the expense of a home theater installation without taking steps to eliminate echoes and tinny background noises from the overall sound of your system.

These panels come in several forms, and your home theater installation consultant can make recommendations according to your particular situation.  Decorative sound absorbing panels can be hung on the wall like framed art, at intervals for an attractive pattern.  Choose the color or colors that work best for your home; sometimes your home theater installation professionals will even help you hang them, given that they are part of the TV installation process.

If your home theater installation is being completed in a room that is already decorated or that is being used for other purposes as well, you may want to consider portable room dividers or privacy screens, made with sound absorbent materials.  Set them up when you need them, and then fold them and stash them away when they are not in use.  These screens fold flat and are easily stored.  You will be amazed at the difference these noise absorbing panels make in the overall sound quality of your home theater installation results.
